Purpose
The Korea National Council of Consumer Organizations is a federation of consumer protection organizations created to stimulate the activities of consumer groups and defend the interests of consumers. Its purpose is to support its member organizations in consumer protection activities to help them more effectively achieve their intended goals.
Established in 1976, with 4 consumer organizations as its founding members, the Korea National Council of Consumer Organizations now coordinates consumer protection activities of 10 member organizations and 182 regional associations.
 
Organization
General  Assembly : The General Assembly consists of 5 representatives from each member, including the head of member organizations.
Board  of  Trustees : The Board of Trustees is formed to oversee and manage the business of the Council.
The Board of Trustees consists of trustees representing each of the member organizations.
Working Committee : The Working Committee is constituted by persons nominated by member organizations. Each member recommends 2 Committee members.
The duties and responsibilities of the Working Committee include executing resolutions by the Board of Trustees, deliberating on various issues and ensuring smooth exchange of information and data between member organizations.
