2005 Hanmadang (grand forum) for Brand Rice

 

Superior brand rice exhibition” and “Korean rice tasting” events are held along with “2005 Brand Rise Evaluation Teams Organizing Ceremony.” Both the consumers and producers participate to promote citizens’ interest in Korean rice

 

National Council of Homemakers Classes (Chair Lee Yun-ja) sponsors “2005 Brand Rice Hanmadang” to herald 2005 start of “Evaluation of Brand Rice Sold in Market.” This Evaluation is hosted by the National Council of Consumer Organizations, and many other consumer organizations have participated in it since 2003, to arouse the general public’s interest in Korean rice, whose quality has been upgraded by “Brand rice.”

 

71 different rice brands will participate in “2005 Evaluation Service of Brand Rice,” where the consumers and producers participate together to inaugurate “Evaluation Teams.”

 The events are designed to promote correct perception of rice by widely heralding the superior quality of rice-centered traditional food, value of rice and new evaluation details, in order to promote consumption of rice by securing consumer trust with thorough quality management of “Brand Rice.”

 

Furthermore, exhibitions and sales corners will be provided where the consumers may personally purchase 12 superior brands of rice, selected and announced for 2004 after comparing their tastes. They will also introduce such diverse rice dishes as ‘simple breakfast menu to induce breakfast eating habit, ‘rice cooking for diet’ and ‘special taste rice.’

 

In particular, such programs as “rice cake mallet striking,” “superior brand rice winning lottery” and exhibition of “processed food made of rice” will provide fun and chances to experience “rice” personally, greatly contributing to increased consumption of rice.
