Regular survey on daily necessities: Amid the small change in prices in April, the prices of Chinese cabbages rose by 7.8%.
- A 0.1% increase from one month ago -

According to the results of a regular survey on daily necessities conducted in April 2007, it turns out that the prices of many essential goods have increased narrowly from March (a 0.1% increase from one month ago). The price of Chinese cabbage has increased drastically, while the prices of chicken and mackerel have dropped from that of one month ago.  

As for the prices of agricultural and fisheries products, the price of Chinese cabbage rose by 7.8%, as did the price of spinach and radish. Regarding the prices of stock farm products, the prices of chicken and mackerel decreased by 6.3% and 7.8% respectively. As the number of newly born chickens has increased by 5.2% from one year ago, the price of chicken has accordingly decreased.  

Chinese cabbage recorded the biggest price increase right across the nation, with Wonju City recording the largest increase from a month ago, posting 1,566 won in April 2007, up 28.5% from March when it was 1,223 won. The prices of mackerel experienced the biggest decrease, and Wonju City recorded the biggest reduction in the prices of mackerel from a month ago, posting 2,267 won in April 2007, down 27.1% from May 2007 when it was 3,111.
