Lee Deok-seung elected as 21st KNCCO Chairman
KNCCO elected Mr. Lee Deok-seung, President of the Green Consumer Network, as its 21st Chairman at the 41st periodic congress held at the auditorium of Korea YWCA at 2:00 PM on February 25.
Mr. Lee founded the Green Consumer Network in 1996. He has engaged in active consumer movement and has served as member of the following organizations: Food Safety Policy Council; Central Environmental Policy Committee of the Ministry of Environment; Consumer Policy Committee of the Fair Trade Commission, and; Presidential National Energy Committee.
Commenting on his election, Mr. Lee vowed to do his best to “invigorate programs concerning comparative consumer information in an effort to secure consumers’ position in the country, which is the world’s 10th largest economy, focus on sustainable consumption as the core issue of consumer movement, and develop local consumer movements befitting the era of regionalization.”
